The layout of the boat has allowed for a great many common areas to make it possible for everyone to enjoy life on board at his or her own pace. On the decks, the passageways are furnished with cane furniture and decorated with green plants, while the upper deck was converted into a large terrace with deck chairs and armchairs. During cruising, an especially pleasant place to spend time lounging while taking in the sight of the Nile riverbanks.


When night falls, the panoramic bar lounge lets the show continue. An intimate setting that inspired writer Agatha Christie to pen one of the most famous scenes in her novel “Death on the Nile”.


Like the cabins, the restaurant distinguishes itself with its Belle Époque elegance. The furniture and woodwork is original, and they create an especially refined setting. Menus at the Steam Ship Sudan’s table have both Western and Eastern savours, and are different every day.


Excursions organized and accompanied by guides every day to the major sites of the Nile Valley. Going through the navigational locks may change the scheduling of these visits, especially at Esna. As places for landing are very much regulated in Egypt, you will be given a boarding pass at each port of call.
